WHO WE ARE

Cogwheel&Gearbox started from a concept way back in 1997. That is when it acquired its first asset, a single family home needing updates and TLC. The business did not have a clear understanding of its purpose or identity. Were they a real estate investment business, a wholeselling business, a buy and flip contracting business, landscaping and property management?

There were alot of hands in many pots. One thing that we did know, we wanted to be a business that had integrity and had room for growth.We did not want to call ourselves a ‘small business’, we wanted to call ourselves a thriving business.

After various name changes, restructuring, and relocations. We finally figured out what our niche was going to be.

We decided to invest and manage assets for small businesses to help them scale into big ones. One thing we learned from all of our varied experiences over the years. That many independant businesses start out making one mistake. To be fair most business make many mistakes. Yet, one mistake that stops a business from growing revenue is “mindset”, thinking oneself as a “small business”, instead of a growing one.

All businesses need protection and revenue to grow. If a business cannot learn how to grow and scale. Then most small businesses become traps. Always living from ‘invoice to invoice’ and ‘loan to loan’.

Presently, there are affordable automated technologies available to help businesses to thrive. Many ‘small businesses’ haven’t learned to use these resources.

Social media is also still taboo for many ‘small business’ owners. Just a little more than half use it to interact with potential customers, and only a little less than half take advantage of social media to advertise.

It is clear that many businesses are simply not taking advantage of a huge shift in consumer spending and advertising. Roughly 5.3 billion people use the internet worldwide. Businesses are murdering themselves when they choose not to take advantage of this resource for customer leads.

Cogwheel&Gearbox INC. invests in small businesses to help them with infrastructure and management. Helping them with automation and growing revenue. The goal is to help small business to manage their assets and give them the tools and leadership to grow financially strong and stable for future shareholders.
